MotoGP, season opening under the mark of Jorge Lorenzo
Jorge Lorenzo started the 2016 season like he finished the last one: winning. The Majorcan, starting from the pole position with his Yamaha, has actually won the Qatar Grand Prix preceding Andrea Dovizioso's Ducati, Marc Marquez's Honda and his teammate Valentino Rossi. Not an easy race for the current world champion, but the message for the competitors is pretty clear: he's still the man to beat.
Jorge Lorenzo flies in the Moto GP tests happened on the circuit of Losail in Qatar. The current world champion was actually the only one to run below the 1'55" mark on the lap times, scoring the best time. Behind him, more than half a second away, Scott Redding, Maverick Vinales and Marc Marquez. Fifth place, on the other hand, for the teammate of the Majorcan, Valentino Rossi, 0.6 seconds away from the top ranking.
