A real earthquake for a very loved TV series that loses one of its main characters. In effect, ABC hasn't renewed the agreement with the actress Stana Katic, detective Kate Beckett in Castle, for the ninth season of the show. ABC was the one to announce it while highlighting how "Kate Beckett had been a very loved character in Castle for 8 years. We are thankful to her for her talent and her hard work”.
Along with Katic the TV series loses another historical member of the cast, Tamala Jones, who since the first season played the legal doctor Lanie Parish. The question that all the fans are asking now is: will Castle survive the absence of Katic or, after 170 episodes, will the eighth season become also the last?
