Antalyaspor sweeps away Trabzonspor, Galatasaray closer to the fifth spot
The verdict is final: Beşiktaş is the champion of Turkey and it moves to the group stage of the Champions League 2016/17. The black and white of Istanbul formalised the victory on Sunday, thanks to the 3-1 on Osmanlıspor which allowed keeping a 6-point lead on Fenerbahçe at only 90’ from the end. Crucial two goals by Marcelo and one by Mario Gomez, now at 26 goals in this season of the Super Lig. For the Black Eagles it is the 14th national title. Antalyaspor, although without Samuel Eto’o, beat Trazbonspor 7-0, while Sneijder and Galatasaray, defeating Akhisar in an away game (1-2) can still hope to catch the fifth final place.
