Jorge Lorenzo, dominant victory at Le Mans
Second seasonal success and the first place of the world ranking for the Majorcan
Jorge Lorenzo conquered his second seasonal victory at the Grand Prix of France reaching also the top of the world ranking. A real triumph for the Yamaha pilot who, after getting the pole position, commanded the race from the first to the last lap, preceding at the finish line his teammate Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales on Suzuki.
With this success Lorenzo returns to first place also in the race for the title: with 99 points precedes by 6 points the compatriot Marc Marquez (Honda) who was victim of a fall in the Le Mans race track. A close competition that will continue in the next stage of the MotoGP, the Italy Grand Prix will be held on May 22nd at the Mugello race tracks.
