The 2017 season will mark the beginning of a new adventure for Jorge Lorenzo. The Spanish, starting next season, will in fact race with Ducati leaving Yamaha after 9 seasons where, to this date, he has conquered: 3 world championships, 41 victories and 99 total podiums.
To announce it was the actual Italian team to which Lorenzo is now committed for two years. Even Yamaha has confirmed the end of its rapport with the Majorcan saying they are “thankful to him for his contribution to our successes and hoping to share other memorable moments in the remaining 15 races of the 2016 championship”.
A big challenge is coming for Lorenzo: being able to win with a motorcycle that is indeed high quality but that in the last 13 years only Casey Stoner has been able to drive up to the Riders’ World Championship title.
